Examples of poor driving you have witnessed!

Indeed, most people have learned that the motorist expects to be yielded to by all other highway users, But some people may be struggling to stay going with their lives and may lapse now and then.

Most car drivers would take a glance in their direction to indicate that they could proceed with priority.

Highway Code - rule 170 (part of) :
Take extra care at junctions. You should
  • watch out for cyclists, motorcyclists, powered wheelchairs/mobility scooters and pedestrians as they are not always easy to see. Be aware that they may not have seen or heard you if you are approaching from behind
  • watch out for pedestrians crossing a road into which you are turning. If they have started to cross they have priority, so give way
(My emphasis)

Believe that and you will soon die in modern Britain.

I have spent the last fortnight with people stopping on the main road to allow me to walk across a minor road before they turn into it.

I am not in the UK.

Being excluded from a land which is increasingly like being in an open air mental asylum and where everything is falling apart would not pose great hardship.

Anyway, I discovered a way to get your car through the "border security" without being investigated - we'll see if I can arrange it again this time.

Are you ever in the UK these days?
There are still bits of the UK left here.

Bloke in a Mercedes cut me up three times on Queensway. The final one was to suddenly leave the A34 lane and barge into the A449 lane, as you approach the KwikFit lights from Asda. We then had to stop as the lights went through a futile sequence, with nobody coming the other way.

How I laughed when he then turned onto Lichfield Road, where he could have gone without waiting, if he hadn't pulled his final manoeuvre.

I was cut up by three cars last night on the kwikfit island I had being waiting at the lights by the sun inn and as I approached the lights before the Lichfield road three cares traveling together cut me up and went down the a449 they then turned off right on to a little lane after the Argos island and just stopped. A Seat Ibiza, Ford Fiesta and an Audi TT.

Saw an 'example of poor road crossing by a pedestrian ' this morning in Worcester. He seemed confused and convinced that green lights for the road vehicles, and red man on the crossing , meant he should be walking across. Everyone was slowing and stopping as he started to cross and stepped back several times. I did the same thinking is it me going mad.....does green actually mean stop?? and got fists waved at my car as I eventually drove slowly past in case he jumped out again. (I daren't actually wave him across to get him out of harms way , in case the cars in the next lane flattened him)

He'd stand no chance in Stafford , where green means go....and red seems to mean the next 6 cars can go no matter what.

Big grey 'thing' was waiting to pull out of Aldi carpark on Lichfield road. Ambulance approaching with sirens & blue lights had to slow down rapidly as big grey thing pulled out in front of it as it was a few yards off :ohno:

People turning right out of Rowley Avenue onto the Newport Road, even though it's been left turn only for a good 10 years.
