I haven’t spotted this thread before. Quite enjoyed sitting here reading these. Thanks

Not strictly eligible, but the Naval Service currently has a ship tied up next to HMS Belfast and it seems that there might be some sort of rugby match going on somewhere today..

The ship is open to the public, I believe - pop in, if you're passing.

More of a (re)start than a stop.

Many St Patrick's Day parades feature classic cars - this Renault Alpine required the motive power of two sergeants and a superintendent after it had a bit of a failure.

The young lady bottom right seems highly unimpressed with the sleek lines of the Renault. Clearly a Citroen girl.
The Viking mid-left is more impressed with it. But then they always liked shiny things …. :teef:

That's not a rocket! That's Rapunzels tower!
You can't go up that one, but you can go up the one in Kilkenny - it was wooden ladders the last time I went up it...

It's about a hundred feet high.

It seems to have been upgraded to slightly wider treads now.

Edit :- The ascent can be entertaining...

Barrows, and another, encircled - what an extraordinary feature.

What's the story with that then?

Not far from a famous marine radio coast station at Malin Head. I worked that fellah a few times coming up through the gap.
