Liver and Onions was on today, which is an obvious trump card and surpasses all other potential offerings.

I always have that with new potatoes, but some sort of crazy administrative mix-up produced a supplementary basket of chips, as well.

i was defeated, for the very first time in this location.

I went with the intention of the Braised Steak today, but the new presentation of Chicken Provençale needed recording.

The music seemed to be largely from the Poly canteen in the mid-70s.

In the excitement of being offered a new item on the Specials Menu, some sort of chicken curry, I forgot to note what it was - possibly began with a K and seemed to be in a southern style, possibly Sri Lankan.

"Would you like anything else with it?"

"Whatever is lying about."

I thought it seemed a bit mild at first, but the effect was quite cumulative and it is certainly a worthy addition.

Well, I had a Late Breakfast today, or, as they officially term it, a Greyhound Grill - anyway, the real point is that there was a vegetarian option on the Specials Board - the first time that I've noticed such a thing - it was Cheese and Potato Pie, I think.

I nearly tried it, for surveillance purposes, but felt the need to progress as intended this time.

Maybe next time....

There was another new item on the Specials board today - Chicken, Leek and Ham Pie - so I felt obliged to make an assessment.

A very substantial offering, ideal as the weather closes in for the winter...

However, the hanging baskets are still going strong.
