Twin carbs and not a lot else. The old three bearing crankshafts couldn't take any real tuning.

Dad had one of those back in the day and I remember thinking how fast and luxurious it was compared to the Ford Anglia that preceded it.

One day I will find the right one, in the right condition and at the right money and it will find a home in my garage. If I was in the market for an VDP 1100 Princess then the one in @Gramaisc's pics above just looks so right.

Indeed, that one was in an "As it was" condition, rather than the "Bizarrely tarted up" state that things often are at car shows.

To be fair to plod, it does look like a piece of utter crap with no business on the public road, never mind the motorway.

To willingly to ride that on the M25 you'd have to be a total nut job.
