Examples of poor driving you have witnessed!

I did not know this. Admittedly home is a left turn but never knew it was left turn only

When I saw the post I thought exactly the same as you @PeterD, I did not know this.

Recently I have had to turn right as it was the only way due to the roadworks but I didn't realise I couldn't normally.

I think you can turn right from Mc Donalds but the carpark operator is discouraging it with road markings and sign within there land. the stop sign isn't accompanied with a stop line and the triangle turn left sign isn't a recognised highway sign.

It's the same when leaving the Hough retail park. The original "no right turn" sign was removed from the other side of the road even though the signs are still visible inside the retail park.

I see that the give way line has gone during the roadworks, it will be interesting to see in what form it is replaced.

I see that they have painted a new Give Way line, but the signs look the same, although I could only see the backs of them as I passed.

I have just had a nice cherry bakewell to celebrate my victory.

An open-top BMW caught up with me in Creswell, as I was adhering to the speed limit rather more than he was. I chose the right-hand lane to aim at Eccleshall Road, it being the third exit from that point. The BMW driver felt entitled to use the left-hand lane, undertake me on the roundabout and cut me up by driving over the hatchings at the end of the link road. I was quietly confident that I would be behind him in the queue at the pointless single-lane lights at the abandoned, empty "roadworks" by the cemetery, and so I was. At this point, a further manoeuvre stated to hatch and it all began to fall into place.

Despite letting someone out of McDonald's, I still got to the roundabout first, as everybody in front felt obliged to use the right-hand lane, as is so common to see. This meant that I got onto Greyfriars well in front and turned left into Browning Street. At this point, he was only just visible, way back around the Waggon & Horses. As I turned into Browning Street, the lights changed.

Victory!

Always fun when you deflate a BMW driver’s ego. A Bakewell well deserved.

I don’t do much motorway/dual carriageway driving but one of my dad’s favourite pastimes is to leave drivers like that at the lights by quite a significant distance, they can’t stand a “mere hatchback” in the shape of a Nissan Micra being faster than them.

I was heading towards The Sun pub and walking past The Island restaurant last night, when the lights to cross changed to red. They had been red for at least 1-2 seconds when an old style dark blue Merc decided to drive straight through causing one of the cars starting to go on green by PIzza Go Go to rev their engine up like a startled Peacock.

How do I edit this?
Given there's been comments here about how red light jumping is a "Stafford thing" it is perhaps worth noting that when i stopped on the yellow at a temporary traffic light outside Cambridge this morning three cars behind me pulled out and overtook, the last two of which went through on red.

Traffic coming past my house seems to be getting worse , combine that with the amount of pavement parked cars and its a accident waiting to happen.
The speed that the cars are travelling and the road conditions after a dry spell make it very slippy if they need to hard brake.

doesnt bother me as my car is safely tucked in my drive out the way .
....Although i might set my camera up for daytime movement detection so i dont miss all the fun :P

Take a look at Alliance Street to see how it should be done.

Just witnessed some knobber In a white Ford reg DL66AZR attack a deaf van driver where the road goes into one lane by Sainsbury's.

The two cars got a bit close and horn blasts were exchanged before the knobber who was a passenger gets out and has a go at the deaf driver, started kicking his door and trying to open it.

All totally unnecessary and the poor van driver was petrified.

Police arrived so my bus continued once a number of passengers had left their details.

This caused a tailback all the way to the Wickes retail park entrance and the police were still there at noon.

Waiting at the pedestrian lights just before the Asda two into three lane bit on the Queensway, I decided that the woman on my left looked like the sort that would leave her A34 lane and just go straight ahead into the A449 lane without looking or indicating.

I was right!

Oh, hang on, no I wasn't, she went straight across me into the A518 lane.

Impressive.
