Gyms in Stafford

wanna see my snake?
Any recommendations? Any to avoid? Never set foot in one in my life, but as I can't run at the moment I'm tempted to start. I got a free 3 day pass for pure as it's closest to my house (going down there later) but figured there may be someone on the forum who knows what they're talking about (for once!).

Not into getting ripped, just want to tone up a little and generally improve my fitness. Probably most likely looking at things like rowing machines to start with, not sure classes are for me but who knows!

Run!

It's FREE!

Only run once a week? Who cares! Your not paying £20 membership!

You don't have to run a marathon! Just start with 4mins jog, 2 mins walk (best bit :P ) and build up from there!

I was doing, but injured myself back in June and not been right since :(
I was quite enjoying it too, got down to under 23 minutes for a 5k which considering I'd not run since school I was happy with. But I've been limping for nearly 3 months now, should probably go see a vet.

I went, it wasn't as horrendous as I expected! Played with few machines, did 3k each on the cross trainer and rowing machine then 15k on a bike. Quite enjoyed it, but dunno how some people could do it without headphones on. I'd get so bored!

Mountain Bike.

Cannock Chase.

Happy Days.

My mountain bike is in Wales, must fetch it back.

I would and we're coming up to a particularly colourful time on the Chase.

Looking forward to my first foray in 6 weeks tomorrow but that will be on foot with the dog and not on a bike this time. Biking will be later on the week.

To clarify, you don't need to be a hardcore mountain biker to go cycling on the Chase. Go on Chase Road or to the stepping stones car park and there's loads of more or less flat tracks to ride on.

If you decide to ride, i'm right there with you if you need a riding buddy.

Get a bike, send a pm.

The blue @ the Chase is good riding - hard enough but not too so, that kind of thing.
