You have my sympathies. Just wait until they decide our piles have disappeared into the Doxey depths and need to be extra long.Sod Hopton residents, what about us poor buggers right by it?
Same happened with the Generators Office Block - piles were knocked in by shoving other piles down on top of them.Years ago during the building of the Riverside Sports Centre a friend worked on the Piling crew.
He commented on how many piles were lost into the ground. Even the Queensway was built across a swamp.
I seem to remember much talk about disappearing piles for the M6 Creswell Viaduct back in the early 60's. Perhaps the downside of the town being in a bowl …

Yes we were one of the pedestrians queuing. It was a recyclable cup with a voucher, chocolate gold coin and a via sachet....I believe the 1st 100 customers got a free goody bag
