Just had a really good journey up to Northumberland helped enormously by the traffic sign operators displaying signs "saying keep left unless you are overtaking".
There was virtually universal compliance and as a result everyone made good progress.
The only exceptions were a few foreign lorry drivers who wanted to drive in the right hand lanes when passing other signs reminding them their freight licences may not be valid come the 1st November
