Leave or Remain?

Tactical voting here we go.
One of the advantages of being a student.

Back in my old socialist-voting days, I had the choice of voting in my university seat - Newcastle central, probably the safest Labour seat in the country - or my "home" seat - the more marginal Conservative seat of Barry. Obviously I voted at the latter.

Actually, thinking on (several days later), I'd have been in digs in Whitley Bay for the February '74 election - a safeish Tory seat - and Newcastle Central for the October '74 election, though for my name to be on electoral register in October - under 3 weeks into term - they'd have had to have moved pretty quickly.

It'll be interesting to see what happens here given they've parachuted someone in who isn't remotely local. At least Lefroy was somewhat local for a while.

A lot of folk won't appreciate that too much. Might even see a big vote split between CON and BXP (one can hope)

I'm in Stone constituency, so I've got Bill Cash (who is currently trending on Twitter) to contend with. I have to vote Labour. I doubt the BXP will put a candidate in.

Enjoying a drop of red.

Do Labour and the Libdems even have candidates in the constituency? If so, they might want to think about boosting their profile a little bit.

Up here in Formby, we've had stuff through the letterbox from all the candidates, so we know who they all are, even though we can't vote here...

Sounds like it may be game on, but with the GE on the 9th rather than the 12th.

Maybe they'll drag MPs in again over the weekend to vote Northern Ireland some money.

ETA There's also an amendment to set the GE date to May 7th, 2020 (good luck with that).

I've lost track of how much money they're supposed to have had, but each billion quid is £531 for every man, woman and child up there.

Has anybody seen any effect of this?
