I am currently subject to a rather different cultural ethos.

The chap on the left here decided to nip out for a nightcap.

He lives a few miles out of town, down some unlit lanes.

The Guards passed him and decided to give him a lift to his destination - the pub that I was in.

They delivered him to the door and made sure that he gained access to the premises.

The fact that it was well over an hour after "closing time" didn't seem to bother anybody involved.

I think the cat should be taking his 'bouncer' duties more seriously. :)

Had my first shower since last thursday morning. No more washing in the sink and drowning myself washing my long hair . Bathroom finished , new bath in , re-tiled and all looking the best it's ever looked. Got functional kitchen blinds for the first time in years as well , as he offered to put some new ones up for me whilst here working on the bathroom :) . Getting him back for some more much overdue jobs in the house next week .

Spent the last hour attempting to get the dust container off my new hoover. Bloody thing just wouldn't budge despite following the instructions. Found millions of 'How to remove dust containers' youtube videos , must have found every model except for mine. Turns out I just needed to press slightly harder on the switch that I tried in the first place

Feckin' really?

I now need to wear glasses to read this shit, and am doing so wearing a pair just now repaired by sticking two halves together with the sticky bits of two carefully cut elastoplasts.

Youse had better start making it worth my while.

Getting EVIL :teef: wrapping the first xmas pressies I've just bought. Glad I haven't got anyone posh to buy for, no matter how much I try , as usual looks like a 2 year old has bundled the paper on, using miles of twisted sellotape covered with bits of carpet it kept getting stuck to

While I had the car, bought all the xmas booze and stuck it away upstairs. Only just over 4 weeks to resist it .....
