more so over the weekend, but residing at the back of my garden, presumably from the previously owners.....

A Devan single bed
A rusted BBQ
A composter
A black refuse bin full of planters....
Several empty bottles of Chekov vodka
2 cinder blocks
Various
A full patio underneath 1-2" of biomass

no cuddly bear though or a Corby trouser press.....

Today I found....

Out that I need to have 4 teeth removed!

Fun times!!

I've opted for the 'knock me out' option!
Wisdoms? I had all 4 impacted wisdom teeth out when I was 17, looked like a hamster that had gone 10 rounds with Rocky! (things were different in the 80's!).
Hope all goes well x

Yup!!

I wish I'd had them out at 17!
Years of hell and now finally have the courage to get them out at GREAT expense!!

I'll let you know how 'soup week' goes.... Xx

When I had an impacted wisdom out it was a hospital job and they wouldn't let me have general anaesthetic. Got the usual "if you want a general anaesthetic there's a five year waiting list but we can do it next week with local" story. In hindsight probably a mistake to go for local but if I'd waited 5 years they still wouldn't have given me a general.

I am also a member of the impacted Wisdoms club.

I was an outpatient at what is now the County Hospital - General Anaesthetic, Removal, and woken within a circle of four patients who had all gone through the same procedure,

I was the first to go under, so the first to come round. As i regained conciousness, i began to feel hunger, as i hadn't eaten for quite some time.

I was offered toast.

Toast.

To a man who had just had half of his feckin jaw removed. Feckin toast.

I declined.

As my comrades in dentistry all came round, one by one, they were, in turn, all similarly offered toast. One by one they all refused toast.

Toast?

Can you actually imagine anything less appropriate in the circumstances that is actually a foodstuff?

I'm stocking up on soup, yoghurt, mash and more soup...

Any other suggestions welcome!

I friend told me she lost a stone when she had hers out!

To me it just sounds like a great excuse to gain a stone over the holidays!!!

... some slightly specialist IKEA screws that I've been looking for for a few months.

I dismantled a couple of cabinets to take a couple of hundred miles away and do remember putting the screws safely inside something, but I couldn't find them when I got there.

I've had a few halfhearted searches, but with no success - until I emptied the car for its MOT today and found them in the emergency gloves that are kept in one of the boot alcoves.

... the screw from the key of my trusty old Hyundai.
car-key-replacement-hyundai-sal-lake-city-300x300.jpg

It's in the other side as seen in the picture above.

I first noticed that it was missing about a year ago and, although it isn't that necessary to hold it together (it is fairly secure once the split-ring is through the hole at the top), it did annoy me irrationally every time I noticed it was gone.

I found it just now, tidying up some wires in a room where the keys would rarely venture.

It is definitely the original screw, as it matches the one in the spare key exactly.

So now you've no longer got a screw loose.

I know this is old, sorry.

But my sister got given Weetabix after hers. Took her weeks to get the bits out of the holes....

... my spare bicycle rack.

$_86.JPG

I bought one years ago in Halfords, with the matching clip-on bag and panniers, and it has performed sterling service for 15+ years - a good combination of strength and light(ish) weight.

Having arranged to buy an identical bike on eBay, I decided to find the spare matching rack that I bought at the boot sale years ago. I remember fitting it with the same reflector and rear LED lamp arrangement that is currently running off the 12 volt system on the old bike. I have most of the bits to replicate this on the 'spare' bike, if I can ever match a collection date with the vendor...

I found the rack a lot quicker than I was expecting, not having seen it for a few years - but, there was no light or reflector fitted.

This has puzzled me for a few days, maybe I just thought about doing it? If so, where is the rear lamp? I do have a stack of the reflectors, but no means of knowing whether one has been taken for use on the rack.

But, eventually, I convinced myself that I had done the work and so I launched a further search - and eventually found the original spare rack, with the lighting fitted.

What I had initially found was a spare spare, that I have no recollection of buying at all....
