Walking around the lake this morning I saw Colin the Cormorant showing off on a buoy. Bitterly cold, but clear blue skies and not a breath of wind. All wind turbines stopped except the big one (I can see the blades of this from my back window in winter when the intervening trees are de-leafed. That thing would turn if a gnat farted.)
Picture a bit blurry as Colin had chosen the most distant buoy, and although my little camera has quite a good built in optical telephoto lens, I had to put it at max and no tripod, so the Monday morning shakes made it difficult to stay on target.
