Parking in Stafford.

According to the report going to the 6 February 2020 meeting of Stafford Borough Council's Cabinet, not one single objection was received to the new evening and Sunday parking charges in Stafford town centre.

Is this an ANPR camera?

It's on the corner of Wickes, facing up the access road from the mini-roundabout.

If so, then we may expect their two-hour limit to be enforced.

Amusingly, there is an artic parked up in front of it for the night.

Going to have to drop hubby off on the roadway for his TenPin night then, or might get done if parking twice several hours apart...

No telling, the camera is just that. The ANPR capability comes from whatever it's connected to.
It's not there in the current Street View picture (June 2018) and it does point straight up the access road - also, it is mentioned above that Tenpin has recently got one - maybe their car park is managed by the same mob?

ANPR has been active on Madford Retail Park since June/July last year as far as I am aware.

There is also ANPR on Tenpin which was installed on the 5th Feb.

Anyone else find the continuous closing and reopening of Doxey Long Stay nothing but completely farcical? All the commuters park up in the morning, then Stafford BC tweet out around 9:30am to remove your cars due to imminent flooding, but unfortunately due to being a LONG STAY car park, most folks can't/don't get back until evening.

Surely a multi-storey structure on the short stay site would make a huge amount of sense going forward? £££ I know, but prefab structures not extortionate.

No thank you. Because knowing my luck, it'll be shoved right outside our homes. It's bad enough having the road works from hell out there at the moment.
