Doxey aren't really getting it but Castletown and Virginia Park are. Nearest Doxey houses are half a mile away.
You can hear the pile driving in Doxey. It must be unbearable closer.

Right outside the house. It's not that nice, been on nights and God knows how I've managed sleep through it all.

Losing the will to live here. Sat here in me bedroom, looking out the window, as you do. The blokes over the new road bit have dug up the same area every day this week, filled the hole in and then dug same patch up next day.
They're now down to one portaloo for the whole site.
Nothing appears to be happening, they're like council workers, 1 digs a hole while 6 stand round watching.

They're digging yet another hole today, again, 1 bloke in the digger, while another 6 are stood watching.
I wonder, how far do the old gas pipes spread on that bit? Surely they can't all be contained in the fenced off bit of the car park?

I walked home from town and the usual path across the Sainsburys car park is closed. You take the path across towards the lights and that is closed so you walk across a dirt patch and have to dodge traffic as the lights are closed off! NOT GOOD!!!

Was the spray thing to keep the dust (any asbestos?) down?

Most of it was being blown across the road onto any pedestrians...
I would imagine that it's used first and foremost to restrict all types of dust down to a minimum but I suppose both asbestos and lead would be high on the list.

God knows what they're doing out the front here, whole house is shaking.
I suppose whatever it is, is important, but they've been digging the same spot for weeks now.
No point in going over and asking them, I probably wouldn't understand, or remember what I was told.
I also have a headache, due to the pile driving, that I can't get rid of.

You could complain to Stafford Borough Council's Environmental Health team. They have a duty to investigate noise pollution that could constitute a statutory nuisance. The only problem is, by the time they have investigated it, it will have probably ended.
