I just edited a page on Wikipedia. I've spent quite a long time on Wikipedia over the years, and this is the first time I've ever felt motivated to correct something.
I'd noticed that the strength of Cocke's (Fifth) Brigade at the first battle of Bull Run was listed as "8,035" which is more than twice the size of your average ACW brigade at the time. Anyway, having tracked down a reliable source which quoted the strength as "3,035", I made the necessary change.
And now I feel EPIC.

Last night the BBC weather lady started her forecast by showing some white flowers and saying: "Although some flowers think Spring is here, the weather doesn't appear to be up to speed yet." 
I don't think anywhere else in the world would start a forecast like that which is one of the many reasons I like the BBC. I have noticed today after recharging the bird feeders that the starlings appear to have scarpered.

We went over to Leicester on Sunday to see Son in his comedy show as part of the Leicester Comedy Festival (he also runs a naked comedy night for charity as part of the festival but we decided to give that one a miss). 
So this one was an hour show, we sat at the back so as not to put him of, not that it would with him being a professional.
Full house and it was lovely to see everyone laughing and having a good time.
He asked the room who had seen him before and half the room put their hand up.... a good sign if they are coming back for more!
Anyway, as part of the act he does a bit about how supermarkets in general have things in places where you can find them....except Aldi where everything is quite often randomly placed.
That segment went down well, sounds mundane but he did a hilarious sketch out of it and lots of people could relate to it.
However, I was in Aldi today and thought he’s absolutely right.
Incontinence pads and walking sticks placed alongside soldering irons and combi drills.

Have box spanners, but sadly, they couldn't get around the nut because it was too close to the braided pipes, and putting the pipes in afterward was a nightmare not worth considering. Probably the easiest way would be to remove the sink and fit the tap off position so to speak. But that makes for considerable extra work.
That’s quite unusual, as box spanners are pretty damn thin. I had exactly the same problem replacing my tap and my neighbour handily had a set from the last time he had that problem. Now I have a set in my tool box too.
I think I ended up threading the mixed pipe through the box spanners, as the thread was around that pipe. This was a pull-out tap though so it had a good 2m of flexible pipe to play with.

It wasn't the pipes that were the problem, they can easily be inserted prior to fitting the tap. It was the securing pressure plate that holds the tap in place, pressed up against the sink bottom by a nut, which travels very close to the pipes, too close even for a box spanner. It was an open ended spanner or nothing. Not a particularly good design, although fitting it to a sink not yet installed would certainly be easier.
The tap I replaced was a much better design with the plate pressured up by two large slotted grub screws that were easily got at with a long handled screwdriver. My thinking is the tap I fitted was probably meant to be fitted to the sink prior to installation. If I ever have to replace it I'll check the fitting mechanism first, or bite the bullet and remove the sink.

Yes, crocuses, irises, daffodils, snowdrops, primroses are fine but one of my rambling roses has flowers on it.
Starlings seem to have been coming and going quite a bit this year, nothing for several weeks then several days of emptying all the bird feeders.

Well done. It's not too bad a drive once you've got around Nottingham.
I went there two years in succession several years ago. The first time, the route displayed on the satnav was fine. The second time, they'd obviously opened a new road, so the satnav made it look like I was driving in the middle of nowhere, through fields.
