Mow the Lawn !!!

It's rained all day here. It's raining now. It's going to rain tomorrow !! (Storm 'HorHay' (phonetic pronunciation) ... what kind of a f****** name is that ?)
Yes I know the Spanish named it ... how come ? ... they don't even get weather down there ....

If I put a lawnmower on the lawn now, it would rust out within the hour !!!

(Rant over  )

It was sunny, with virtually no wind and the grass was dry.

It was 13°C this afternoon - I got quite warm...

I've just mowed the lawns.
Yes - the thought did briefly cross my mind, though it was more about the grass having the temerity to grow in this weather than any intention to get the lawnmower out. Still, at least the bare patches on the lawns of Mikinton Manor are a bit less obvious.

I did mine several weeks ago , and glad I did.
Walked on the lawn yesterday to refill bird food and sunk ankle deep in water.

Today is Leap Day. It'll be 4 years before you see this date again. Technically, tomorrow will be the first day of Spring in Met Office terms. (They do it for statistical reasons as the Equinox/Solstice dates can vary.)

Well as they used to say about March: "In like a lion, out like a lamb."

Let's hope so. :|

Despite hubby insisting we could struggle back to the carpark with the heavy bags from Iceland , I decided best idea was to get the free delivery as they had a 11am-1pm slot soon after . Raced home to beat the delivery van......... Had to go out again and buy more wine for lunch . Had a phone call to say my shopping , along with original lunchtime wine, was sitting on a broken down delivery van and won't be here til later on tonight

Errrm.....just rang them to check it was still being delivered today. Turns out I was told some porkies earlier, wasn't problems with the van at all, but a delivery driver not turned up!

Turns out this time hubby was right for once...we should have carried the heavy bags to the car in the first place

Today I found out Scottish estate agents are just as farking useless as English ones.

If any knows if a human being who is also an estate agent please let me know.

I'm pretty sure anyone who hates humanity considers it a worthy profession.

Bastards.

Today, I found out that 'Toast Toppers' were discontinued in 2018, its not that I really want to eat toast toppers, but now that I can't - I want to... :xd:
I used to live on them years ago. Got me fancying them now !

Not so excited as hubby at the prospect of him working from home :(. As well as cancelling all work related visits, instructions to not shake hands etc etc...German bosses have today suggested those with internet can be set up with all their workstuff and computers at home if this coronavirus keeps escalating. (At least I hope he'll be using his works computer , and not our shared laptop!)

Can foresee a few arguments when I want to hoover, watch telly and use the washing machine whilst he's trying to have skype conversations around the world in our open plan house  .And no more walking around the house in my PJ's and bed hair (or even worse my undies  ), incase I appear in the background ...

Was sent photos from son as he was attempting to do his weekly food shop in the Tesco superstore by his house before work this afternoon...... aisles and aisles of completely empty shelves . So decided I'd better join the panic buying brigade and stock up on a car full off essential cider supplies :D

I found one once. At least I thought I did. Turned out to be a demon, one of Satan's right hand demons in fact. You can't believe how upset he was with me when he found out I'd mistaken him for an estate agent.

Not got much hope of staying coronavirus free in our house....just had the hand soap launched across the kitchen, after telling hubby to use it instead of just a quick splash of water (being nagged to wash hands after blowing his nose ). Aaargh!!!! I give up !
