I see unicorns all the time on my way home from the pub (although sometimes the line of view is blocked by a brontosaurus !!)

That propeller thing though, ... now that is weird.

I do remember seeing an inflatable sheep once with a jar of Colmans mustard in its 'orifice'.

Whatever he's drinking, I want one. Far more importantly though, I want exclusive marketing rights to sell it all over the world ... (and looking at the world today, is it ever needed.) :teef:

CeeBeebies: “Dog and Pug have to call in the help of a Doberman Pinscher when they tackle Sartre’s trilogy ‘The Age of Reason’

Any four year old should be able to cope with "The Age of Reason", it becomes difficult as you get older.

North Wales, and Snowdonia in particular is my old stamping ground. I always thought how lucky we were in the West Midlands to have such a vast mountainous landscape just 2 or 3 hours drive away. My old man used to choose various routes to get there (when we got there, stop at pub, then pitch tent, not really the best order of business but there you go) from the classic Shrewsbury A5 route to a more convoluted expedition that took in Eccleshall, Market Drayton, Overton to join the A5 at Llangollen. I did that route a couple of years ago and I have to say it was a pleasant countryside drive which also allowed me to take a look at Ternhill where I started work straight from school billions of years ago.

I think Wales has got it all .... :)

I use the A41 for the Holyhead runs and am always amused by this sign at Tern Hill.

Anybody in between can just take their chances?

When I was there it was a helicopter training school !! Noisiest bloody things in the world when you're up alongside them. :o

The Welsh border juts out when you go that way, and you start seeing ARAF written on the road surprisingly quickly !! From the centre of Stafford to the Welsh border in that direction is less than 30 miles as the fly crows.

I used to use that route occasionally to go to my caravan at Llangynog (near Bala) but couldn't remember where the border actually was.

Google maps kindly showed me this image.
