On the ninth anniversary of the great quake/tsunami, a rainbow appeared over the memorial in Miyagi prefecture.

This picture was taken at 2:46pm, exactly the time of the 'main event'.

I always take out and take back the bins for my neighbour as she has a long standing medical problem.
I had been suffering myself with a bad hip but i was determined to get them out regardless.

... i heard the bin lorry and prepared myself to go and take them back , but on leaving the house i noticed she had beat me to it and got hers in and returned mine to my side gate.
she messaged me later to say she had seen me struggling this last week and wanted to help.

i now know what its like to be on the receiving end of such kindness , small thing but it made my day :)

Apologies to anyone that might have been delayed going to Birmingham on the train yesterday. My fault.

While leaping on the train my shoe fell off, so I got off the train to retrieve it only to realise it had fallen down the gap onto the track.
The guard wasn’t sure of the procedure but halted the train to see if they could find something long to hook it up with. The train driver got off the train, turned out he was long and lanky with arms that reached right to the track and he gave me back my shoe.

My hero.

Apparently they were concerned that after the train had departed, I might have jumped down to get it so it became a safety issue.

Well delay due to “shoe on track” makes a change from “leaves on track”.

My big dread when getting on and off trains. Grabbing my handbag so tight as well, trying not to drop it down the gap.

Don't think hubby has found my reply to his message , that the doc has given him a prescription for amoxicillin , very amusing.
I was only joking that I was making a bed up in the shed for him to isolate him .....no reply...oooops , not expecting him to be in a good mood when he comes back from work

My dog has been peeing blood for the past week or so. Significantly. Drinking a lot and to put it politely, less cast iron in the house. We were advised a week ago that a scan might show a tumour or a large build up of crystals. I found out it's the latter this evening. I genuinely could have cried. It's been a long tough week but through antibiotics and diet she will be fine. Such a good day.

Nope, take your Like

We had a worry about a lump on Bloo the other day, turned out to just be a weird short rib or something

My eye is bloody sore, and I'm wearing a pair of 1.25 power glasses upside down cos they won't fit on my nose with the see through eye patch I'm wearing, I look like one of the borg, yes I've had the cataracts done in my right eye.
I know it will be worth the agony later (I may have exaggerated a bit about the agony) but it is a real pain that I can't read and can just about see to type.:o:D

My washing machine is out of order again , drum bearings . I pay insurance which covers parts and labour etc .Had the engineer out today who has arranged to come back and repair it ... again. My washing machine is about 4 years old now and I use it twice a day , sometimes more. It’s falling apart. Surely with the amount of money and time they are throwing into this pile of scrap it would just be cheaper to just replace . I could do with a new fire pit for summer lol

As @Cue said.

We all love our pets and it is such a relief to find out they're not as poorly as we worry they might be.

Glad it can be treated and hopefully she will recover fully.

No like but, One of our cats regularly suffers too and has this at the moment usually brought on by stress, we find special Urinary biscuits and a drug Cystease (available from Pets at home) mostly keeps it at bay - hopefully there is something similar for doggos x

So pleased for you and for your dog that it is something that can be treated and she'll be fine. Absolutely excellent news !

Great news about the pooch, they are family after all.
Thanks for the birthday wishes, sorry for not going into that bit but I'm struggling at the minute. I'm sure it's just a common or garden nasty cold that my daughter has given me but it's kicking my rear so to speak right now. I'm tucked away in the house and have been since Tuesday and will stay put till next week. I've no where I need to be and don't feel up to going out anyway. If I get worse I might have to call 111 just in case.

Ooooh, must have been agony having it done. Maybe not so painful ( I don't know, not had to go through that yet) but must have been horrible during the procedure.
Hope you soon get to have the eye patch off and all has gone well .
