Are you at The Met on Monday Carole?

I am indeed (a volunteer staff shift) and very much looking forward to it.
Are you going?

I was wondering if you were watching the game show “First and Last” on Saturday nights? It’s hosted by Jason Manford and did make me laugh watching it. Then when the credits came up I noticed that the writers were (amongst others) Gary Delaney and Scott Bennett, who as you know are Playground favourites. Based on seeing Scott at The Met we saw his show in Edinburgh. I know that you saw him in The Met too.

Another comedian that we saw in Edinburgh was Tom Binns, who we thoroughly enjoyed.
He also happens to be on tomorrow night (Sunday) in The Met performing as his alter ego Ivan Brackenbury the psychic comedian.
Bit daft but we loved it.

250,000th poster!
We’ve got tickets for Henning too. 3 months to go and it’s completely sold out.

I hope that you enjoy it, I’ll be interested to know what you think.
I’ve got to admit that I didn’t even volunteer to work this show, he’s far too vulgar for me.
We got our tickets thanks to you @Carole!

I know what you mean about RCB & bring vulgar, we went to the Met before Christmas, The warm up guy was horrificly vulgar, so we watched him, then Neil Delamere (who was fantastic) then during the interval we realised the warm up guy was back on after the break so we left, neither myself or Mrlittleme are prudish, but he was way too much...

Comedy, like most things is subjective.
What one person finds funny might leave someone else totally unamused.
I can’t be doing with vulgarity or constant swearing, leaves me stone cold.

I do like the comedy nights at The Met and The Sarah Millican Playground nights. I like the variety, some are great, but if on the off-chance there’s one I don’t take to, well they are only on for about 15 minutes then it’s someone else’s turn.

I am indeed. The website didn't work at 10am but I rang up and got tickets. Harriet Dyer has confirmed she's going to be there, that's worth the £5 on its own!

Haven't watched that game show, although someone was talking about it at work. I'll have to have a look.

We're off to see "Spirit of the Dance" tonight, but it has been a while since I've visited Stafford of an evening.

Where's best to park nowadays for the Gatehouse?

Bit late now... but last few times i've parked at the SBC car park @ Riverside - after 6pm it's only £1 and it's not far to walk.

The Tipping St spaces are all blue badge only now, but the Eastgate St and Salter St spaces are a possibility if you give yourself enough time to 'sweep' them not expecting them to be available.

The North Walls car park has a barrier now, so unless i am terribly wrong it is no longer the obvious option.

If anyone missed the film Knives Out at the cinema and would like the chance to see it on the big screen, it’s showing next Tuesday at Stafford Gatehouse.
A murder mystery, starring Daniel Craig, it got excellent reviews.

For the comedy lovers there are still a few seats left for Kojo Anim, next Monday 9th March. He was a finalist on Britain’s Got Talent.

Gatehouse closed until further notice.
Had a feeling it would. I'm sure it's for the best, just hope all the staff are OK and it comes back as before once this is all over. It's a very difficult time for the entertainment industry, especially as they are being made to choose to close so can't get any insurance etc.
