Chances are it’s significantly more widespread than we think. Singapore pulled their international students back from the UK and most of them had it, Hong Kong had a small spike of 25 and something like 9 of them were UK imports

We are far beyond containment I’m afraid

Next month you'll look back at this week like it was the last time that toilet paper was the summit of your worries.
I look back with fondness to the days when the main talking point was the Chancellor of the Exchequer holding a catering size bag of Yorkshire tea bags. (And I bet he does too.)

Just had a delivery driver knock on my door for a delivery for next door neighbour.

As a diabetic I had to refuse especially as they had an ambulance in attendance a few nights ago and I could see everyone in the house with facemasks as I walked past to get to my house.

I haven't seen them to ask if they're ok and haven't got their numbers to be able to check up on them as they've only been there for a couple of months.

I feel really guilty for not taking their delivery or checking but don't feel I'm in a position to be able to take the risk.

Dont feel guilty.
you are doing the right thing , esp if it puts you at risk being in your situation.
Tbh , As my daughter suffers from asthma , i would have done the same thing.
In my view you are doing your bit just as much as everyone else by not allowing further spread.
It may sound callous , but if i knew anyone that was in constant contact with others at the moment i would refuse entry without it was an emergency.

Having said that , its easy for me to do that here as i wouldnt allow them 2 inches past my gatepost anyway ;)

You did the right thing @Thehooperman . I was thinking the same thing , I get regular knocks on the door with other peoples parcels from all down the street . Decided I'm just going to open the bedroom window and shout down that I've got a vulnerable person in the house , so not taking it in.
(Can't understand why everyone keeps ordering so much stuff when they know damn well they won't be in. The odd time maybe, but there's several deliveries for the same people most days!)

That's why son is staying away from us , he's in constant contact with loads of people at work. Might not be showing symptoms , but could be a carrier. Says if we need anything he will drive down and just drop it off outside for us. He's worried sick about us with being in our 60's and vulnerable group.

Had a walk around the block with hubby in his short break from the computer. Had to keep crossing over , kept meeting people we knew who stopped to chat. Obvious we were trying to keep our distance, but some had to be asked not to get too near as they kept advancing towards us .

Sort of enjoying becoming an unpaid secretary . Finding it hard not to join in the skype conversations , good job I have actually met some of the german work colleagues when we were treated to a few days break over there for his 25 yrs working there , and had a tour of the factory. (Last time the 'big boss' saw me was when they helped carry me to the carpark after a few pints of very expensive local German wine :embarrass: )

All this reminds me of when I first started working in a secondary school in the late 90's. I had a bad cold almost from day one. My boss told me: "You'll have two years of misery with cold after cold, then you'll rarely have a cold again."
I shrugged my shoulders thinking: "Yeah, right !!" (cough, sneeze, sniffle, dribble, ...)
But it turns out she was right !!!

We bought three Easter eggs for neighbours kids at the weekend, Mrs T had eaten them all by Tuesday afternoon.
Gurly brought us some chocolate back from Iceland (country not shop) Tuesday night, that's gone too.

For me if I'd been setting up this pix I'd have made that poker hand the two black aces and the two black eights. The fifth card would be face down in the hole.
