MOT recommendations

Hi guys,
My MOT is up in a couple of weeks, I just went to book it in with my regular JLH garage to find they have closed. I've always used this garage as they have always been fair and reasonable but now I do not have a clue where to go, so I'm hoping you guys can help me out with some recommendations as knowing my luck I will end up in a dodgey garage. Thanks!

We use Arblaster on the A34 Cannock Road in Brocton (the one next to the petrol station).
It’s one of the old fashioned type of places, but I’ve always found them to be fair and reasonable.

There is a fair chance in the current climate that you won't be able to get the MOT done. They may put in a temp exemption system like they did recently when the northern Irish system was out on hold due to issues...

No recommendations but MOT classed as essential services , although I’m not sure if this is for key workers vehicles or not.

The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency confirms the 6 month extension if it is due after 30th March as below.

NB There's another link if it expires before then but I didn't check what it says.

my daughter MOTed her car yesterday. She wasn't allowed to wait but MOTs are still happening.

I always use FMS (opposite the bowling alley), and have done for years. They're a lovely lot.
FMS say - Further to our decision to close we have come up with a solution which will give KEY workers some piece of mind that we are still available to help keeping you mobile whilst maintaining a safe environment for our staff and customers . This service is strictly for essential car users and NOT a full public service so please do not contact us for servicing and non essential repairs . Dial our normal telephone numbers and you will be advised what to do . Our reception will not be manned so all contact will be via telephone and directions on how we will service your needs will be explained on contacting us . I hope this helps to give our customers on the front line and others that need us some confidence that you can remain mobile whilst looking after all of us . Stay safe

Just had mine done at Hopton Garage as the council place is closed (well not answering the phone)
Nice friendly lads running the place & will use them again no doubt, one of them used to be a Saab tech so useful to know for any Saab owners.
