Good luck with that. I reported the same issue with them back in August, September and then October. I've not had a single update from them, even if to say, "feck off, you're annoying us now."

Nor should it. Even a cursory glance at what Highways do around the town should fill you with dread.

If they do decide to 'fix' it then even though it is a job that requires no highway incursion, there will almost certainly be cones out taking up at least one lane, so a van can park in the highway and not out of the way on the pavement. If we are particularly lucky, they'll install a set of temporary traffic lights, manned by a spanner only interested in looking at his smartphone and not at the traffic chaos he is causing.

Of course they'll string out this two hour job to last at least three days, two and a half of which there will be nobody on site, yet the cones and lights must remain, for our safety and convenience.

But does anyone really use the crossing buttons correctly, is anyone inconvenienced by the lack of a green Man? From what I have seen, pedestrians cross at any stage and inconsiderately hold up the traffic on the roundabout when there's noone crossing. It is probably superior the crossing buttons are out of action.

Well with them not working I think they've went to a default auto mode , so they still go off , just the buttons don't work.

N let's be honest, you always get an inconsiderate driver who parks straight across the crossing anyway, as they're normally bumper to bumper.

"Whilst we do not approve of this considering its location iit will not be pursued at this time. We will however monitor the situation and take action if any further incidents occur"
