Finding it impossible to get through to the bank to tell them my replacement visa card, which they promised would arrive by last Wednesday latest , hasn't yet arrived. :hmm: Sometimes cut off after half an hour in a queue, other times a recorded message to call back another time as they are too busy to take the call and cut off. Repeated "My voice is my password" so many times that started losing my voice!

What goes up must come down :)

Was Steve Tyler with you?
I had gone down to the bottom, then down some more....

I was on my own!!!

But, I was shown a huge amount of love, 2 colleagues stayed outside for the hour & 1/2 I was trapped, many many others came to chat, they face timed & phoned me too, and I had lovely messages from forum members too... Thank you all so much.

So, lots of love in the elevator for me. :yay:

There are easier ways to meet firefighters....
I was offered firefighters, but opted to wait for the engineer.

I once had a day out at a firestation as a 'treat' for giving them an old car to practice putting fires out on. It appears most firefighters are 50+ and their uniforms smell (I got to wear one), and although this is probably my demographic, I actually prefer the one that @Gramaisc sent to me by messenger, not sure I'm allowed to post such pictures here though! :yay:

So you were living it up when you weren't going down then?

Asda aaaarrrrgggghhhh! As grateful as I am to at least have had a delivery and thus have food. It was completely the wrong order, hasn't been marked as delivered on the website so can't request any refunds and the only customer service is now via phone. I don't want to call them after last time unless it's a last resort. I know they are doing their best and all but still. Guess I'll call them tomorrow.

Btw, who has all the baked beans???

Trying not to go stir crazy by bringing three old semi-knackered computers down from the attic and having a look at them in the conservatory (where it's sunny.) This is the first one, now un-knackered after fitting a new (old) soundcard and a new (old) video card that were also slumped in a box in the attic. Needs a new BIOs battery, but I've run out of spares. This is running Windows XP on a P4 Pentium which keeps telling me what it can't do, but it's working fine and shown here showing an SDR site which gives the CPU a bit of work to do. Took me a while to get back into Internet Explorer, and Chrome keeps telling me it can't update because XP is not longer supported. JEEZ was it that long ago ???
Doesn't bode well for the Windows 98 computer I'm lining up next.

Maybe it's time to get my two TRS-80s down and boot them up. And my Commodore 64.

There'd have been a 386 there as well if I hadn't given it to my son to have a go at installing Linux.

Really need a cup of tea but husband is having a 'virtual meeting' in the kitchen so I can't go in!

Already been told off for singing the the background while he's on speaker!
We've got an open plan lounge/dining room/kitchen and hubby is set up on the dining room table for his office. I'm having to creep around the house. Amazing how noisy chopping veg is when trying to do it silently! I keep forgetting and bursting into song, not realising several people around the globe are listening in to my sudden tone-deaf outbursts.:embarrass:

I forgot and automatically answered his works phone yesterday when it rang and he was upstairs in the loo. Luckily just his boss ....
