A neighbour has offered this, he says he’s never going to get round to doing it, so it’s boxed and brand new. Complete with paints etc.
He wanted the proceeds of the sale to go to Bednall church funds.
However no one in the village seems particularly interested so I’m putting it for sale on here.
It’s available for collection in Bednall so it would have to be someone reasonably local bearing in mind that we’re not meant to be making any unnecessary journeys.

I’ve looked on eBay for this model and the cheapest is £30 plus postage, some are more than that.
So I’m really looking for a donation to the church of at least £15.

Carole's post reminded me that I have this similar model. Slightly different scale so a bit smaller but it is complete, I've only opened the box to check the contents, all there and still in the packets. There are no paints with this set, and it was given to me as an Xmas present a few years back and I'm never going to build it, I think I'm a bit too far gone for that.
Was always interested in this ship, as that event had a direct effect on the job I did when I was at sea.
I don't want anything for it, and I'm quite happy to post it on at no cost, the recipient can donate the price of a pint to the charity of their choice, although I wont hold you to that.

They weren't lucky ships if you believe in that sort of thing. Only the Olympic survived to the breakers yard.

Only the Olympic survived to the breakers yard.

Had a bit of a nasty coming together with HMS Hawke in 1911 though. Stewardess Violet Jessop & stoker Arthur John Priest have the distinction of not only surviving the Hawke incident but both survived the sinking of the Titanic and both survived the sinking of the Britannic in 1916.
