Make of this what you will ....
The graph below is the 7-Point Moving Average of UK deaths in hospital due to coronavirus. It's calculated by adding up a day's number of deaths to the number of deaths 3 days before and after it, and dividing by 7. So the latest figure is centred on April 13th, though it does take into account today's figure (April 16th) and figures from April 10th. It's done this way to smooth out randomness and the vagaries of the reporting cycle, like weekends and, last week, the Bank Holiday. (The "raw" figures are shown in the Spoiler.) As I say, make of it what you will.
ETA I should just mention that the figure I put in for March 25th (I think) is an estimate. They changed the reporting period on that day to just 8 hours, though an especially busy 8 hours it seems. The figure I put in is in line with the graph in the Spoiler.
