I may be stating the obvious - but are people wiping down their mobile phones frequently?

I keep seeing people in shops on their phones, using gloves then pressing mobiles against their faces!

Probably a miss from me, but I have moved my shopping list from my phone onto paper again!

I've been wiping our phones down, as well as very very carefully wiping the car keys and steering wheel, car door handles etc on the couple of times I've had to use the car to go to the bank. I've always been paranoid about germs, but even more so nowadays.

The blue recycling bag handles will also be disinfected after it's been emptied tomorrow (as the bin man said to me as I thanked him for doing my bin the other week, scrub your hands extra well after taking the bins in as they have been touching hundreds of bin handles on their rounds)

I use my normal tyre on my turbo, but the OH has a special tyre for his.

Does it not wear it down the middle? I'm a little reluctant to stick my Ruby on it....

I've got an old Giant Dash I could put on it, but it's got flat bars so will feel weird, but at least the legs could get some more exercise.

Edit - first world problems, I know.

I have just been to have a look, it is rather shiny! I use my winter bike so it's hidden by the mud guards rnormally. I think Henry Burton are still open, the OH got his turb tyre from there only just before lockdown.

Let's make every social media site exactly like facebook.

Because then we could all just be on facebook, even if we didn't want to be.

And some of us do not.

Just had a call from SBC asking if I need any help with anything and how I was getting on in lockdown.

They're offering help with shopping, collecting prescriptions, etc but are also interested in people's wellbeing and can help befriending if people need it.

I presume people can contact SBC directly if they do need help themselves.

My Union, USDAW, has carried out a survey...

Usdaw’s survey of 4,928 shopworkers shows that since the Coronavirus outbreak:
  • 62% of UK shopworkers experienced verbal abuse,
  • almost a third were threatened by a customer
  • 4% were assaulted, which amounts to more than 3,500* every day when averaged across all retail workers.
Please be kind....

I always am nice. There's a few in there I try n avoid like the plague.
That could actually be turned around to mental health workers, I've been thumped, scratched, felt teeth slide across my forearm, had my hair pulled and belted with a walking stick, That's just in the last week. Not to mention the times we're verbally threatened.
