Open Takeaways During Lock Down.

Hi All,

I want to buy somebody a takeaway for their birthday tomorrow. Their preference is Chinese but I think they'd be happy with an alternative.

So, before I start ringing round blindly to all takeaways in Stafford, has anybody recently had any during lock down that they could recommend, please. Thanks.

Not that this is a recommendation, but Lotus House has a sign in the window saying 'delivery only', and Fountain House is also trading.

I'm guessing that this is too late, but it might help someone else.

I believe Queens fish & chips is open, order online via facebook and collect at an allocated time.

Anyone else know of any others?

Boppin Dolphin and Weeping Cross are both doing delivery, my father has used both and reported that he preferred Boppin Dolphin.

The Island are doing collection and delivery. Ayo Gorkahli were but I think they might have stopped, it was going to be my birthday tea. :(

Just found this list, although it's dated 21st March, so others may be open now...

Weston Road, Stone Road and Second Avenue chippies have all been open as I've driven past them recently.

There were people queueing outside but I don't know if you have to pre-order or not.

Chippy is more the husbands thing, I just want a decent chicken Pathia, or crispy chicken in Peking sauce...

Home made is not the same! :ohno:

Hongkong Shanghai Banking Corporation could be passing themselves off for a Thai takeaway.........

This was the one I was thinking about so it doesn't look like the same company.

Wat wok is on the Facebook list :) ArroyThai seems to be another one, their Facebook posts go back to 2014, but I've never heard of them....worried it might be a scam though.

Anyone used them at all? Husband loves Thai, I'm not a fan of everything as I'm a Corriander hater...

Let me know if you've had food from here please... Anyone....
