I've just sorted my clothes out into different wardrobes, cupboards and drawers , but with all seasons mixed together . I have various different sizes as I make the mistake of buying things intending to get down to them for my holiday or works 'do' , then buying more as they don't fit when we come to go. Then even more for the next holiday as I've put on more weight on the holiday...
So, now sorted clothes out into sizes, what fits at the moment, what's almost fitting, a long way to go to get to fit, a 'no chance for a long, long time yet' pile. All summer and winter ones mixed in each pile.
Told hubby which ones fit now (all now hanging in the wardrobe in order of tightness..) , and which cupboards not to get clothes out of to pack for if I ever need to go into hospital.....don't think he was taking a blind bit of notice, so if I do have the misfortune of a hospital stay I might end up with trousers which won't even go over my knees!

I feel I haven't grown up yet as I don't do this (my mum always did). My shorts live in the chest of drawers alongside my jeans, and t shirts and jumpers are 4 seasons.

I'm on some sort of unofficial quest to see how long I can go without wearing 'real clothes'

So far I've worn PJ's every day (bar the two I've had to be physically in school) since the start of lock down!

That's nine whole weeks of cushdy comfort!

Tee shirts and shorts I've got a plenty. Pretty much standard wear on a ship (which means some of them are decades old .. but still fit.) I've one cheap suit I bought for a funeral … (done a few funerals in it now I'm sad to say.) Some M65 jackets which I wear all the time. Lots of black and also white socks left over from uniform days (so also decades old.)
Mind you, for Cornwall …. this means I'm looked upon as being swarf and suffistikated. :heyhey:

I have become Mother Earth. Not only have I got a pan of steak bubbling away on the top of the stove, ready to go in the home made pastry case later on, I've also made the youngest some chocolate cookies, even chopped the chocolate up myself. And I've made the younger sister a big tub of rock cakes, which will be handed over later, distancing being allowed for. Tomorrow, if the weather is nice, I'm going to attack the back garden. I'll be going back work for a rest!

This is one incredible day weather wise !!

This morning given the sky was blue from horizon to horizon I started painting the front of my place at 10.30am (1030.) I finished the front, and half of one side (which includes the front door) at 2.30 pm (1430) and still looking up I couldn't see even a hint of cloud. I went up on the roof just to check, a full 360 degrees and not a cloud to be seen down to the horizon. I've just been up there again to check, it's 6.18 pm (1818) and still blue sky in every direction.

Whoa I chose the right day for painting although I did the west facing wall first (out of the Sun) and the north side second (out of the Sun.) Ra the Sun God caught me in early life, the bastard isn't going to get me again. (Malignant Melanoma.) :P

I still like the Sun mind, I've just become a sort of partial vampire. :heyhey:

Summer baskets all sorted today , winter basket still blooming so that's had to be replanted into a big pot.
Strawberry plants seem to have started early too.

Next job is to get my trough planter filled on the front garden :)

Got up this morning and made a picnic.

French bread from the Co Op.
Gorgeous cheeses from Aldi.
Strawberries, raspberries and clotted cream.
Home made lemon drizzle cake.

Put it all in our picnic hamper, put it in the car with our picnic blanket.
Went to Cannock Chase which is a 3 minute drive away.
Went for an hour walk, had a picnic on the chase, absolutely marvellous,

We felt like we’d had the most wonderful afternoon and this was just on our doorstep.
