I don't think Milk and More pay their farmers as much as the milk costs to produce.

It’s Dairy Crest, so anyone getting the illusion that they’re supporting their local milkman will be sorely disappointed

We found them pretty unreliable too, we did try another after but at points we didn’t get any deliveries from them either. Back to cartons now... our milk usage isn’t high enough to use anything but ultra-pasteurised supermarket stuff as all the nice stuff goes bad too quick

We used to have a daily milkman years ago , but by time I got home from work it had always been nicked on a Thursday.
( Coincided with free paper delivery person , cops had a word and it stopped, but decided to ditch the delivery service,)

If you use https://www.thelocalmilkman.co.uk/ you'll get it before you wake up. It all comes from Wells Dairy in Bradley. He's great, if we change our requirements I just send him a message and we send payment via BACS.

Thanks @Lucy  Going to get in touch with him . Just got to work out what we'd want and when , ready for if he says he can take us on. See he delivers bread as well , which we also get through a lot of. (And channel island milk....I could get through a bottle of that in one go, I love it!)

I use this guy and you can increase or decrease when you want. He does a whole range of other things too. I have a banana milkshake delivered on a friday, to assist the Saturday recuperation.

Thanks @PeterD I love milkshakes as well. This could be rather dangerous for the (non-existant )diet. Was looking at oatcakes as well as other the other goodies on the price list. I go rather mad when ordering deliveries...farm shop one on friday was £94  lots of fruit , veg, milk, bread and meat, then lots of naughties like cake and icecream.

Was wondering what happens if we decide to go away to sons for a few days (when allowed). Could we just cancel those days as long as it's by 5pm the night before?

Yes, I cancel him when I'm on holiday. What he doesn't want is people using him ad hoc as he has his routes, but using normally then cancelling when away is fine.

I have a breville blend active and make myself a milk shake smoothie most days.
I put in a banana, milk, frozen or fresh berries and a couple of spoonfuls of natural yogurt.

Super easy to use, takes about 10 seconds to mix and there’s only a bottle to wash up.

I've got a Hinari Blender set which I use for banana milk shakes mostly , although have done other fruit as well. Going to have to start using it a bit more I think and be a bit more creative.

Thanks @Lucy .

Hoping it doesn't rain until wednesday , as the blue bag is quite full but just wont close properly , so cardboard and paper is going to get wet if it chucks it down.

Blue bins and bags been done today. But the brown bins haven't been done . Don't suppose they will be coming today being past 5pm now.

Still not emptied , but apparently the brown bin lorry was making some strange noises in a nearby road with recycling men standing looking at it . Sounds like it conked out before it got to us.

Just been and done it. Thanks brown bin men  . Didn't look like the normal faster crew, who normally whizz down the road. Must have sent an extra crew and lorry out to do the remainder of yesterdays round. (Was watching them come down, willing them to at least get to my bin before any more problems occured . Didn't have much of my own garden stuff in, mostly my neighbours)
