Well I can only hope you behaved as some of the other tourists do and enjoyed the fresh air of the Chase by chain smoking on your walk and picnic and not giving a damn where you threw your cigarette butts.Yes, I feel your pain.
The amount of people exercising in our village is unbelievable.
Runners, walkers, cyclists. All out and about enjoying the fresh air.
How very dare they?
It used to be a quiet hamlet, now it’s like the M6.
So to escape all the tourists in my village, I’ve popped over to yours.
Ok?
That annoys me too.Well I can only hope you behaved as some of the other tourists do and enjoyed the fresh air of the Chase by chain smoking on your walk and picnic and not giving a damn where you threw your cigarette butts.
Take nothing but photographs, leave nothing behind but footprints and kill nothing but time.
Sorry to hear that @littlemeHad a death in the family this morning... really not expected. Such strange times.
Not really mundane but we (our village) did this.
We’ve always had a village drop off point to donate things for the food bank but after lockdown quite a few people in the village were self isolating and hadn’t been near a shop. Those that were venturing out were nipping in and out and perhaps not taking the time to shop for others.
So we (people in the village) donated cash instead and then our lady church warden contacted the food bank to ask what they needed.
She then bought loads of things from Aldi and B&M.
Our financial contribution bought 1000 meals, in total 600kg of food.
We’re only a small village of 100 or so houses and I think this is a wonderful achievement.
This is just some of the food donated.
There were also meat pies, stewing steak, tinned fruit, puddings. Too many photos to include.

That's fantastic @Carole
6 months ago there was lots of people out there that thought food banks were an easy meal for the lazy unemployed.
it just a shame it needed a pandemic for food banks to be looked at how they should have been.
If I don't get some, ... I'm going to blab you out ... !!
Doesn't seem like much compensation for such a big job. Cheapskates!moving the lawn .
That seems only reasonable.Just been handed a bar of choccy the size of a small coffee table from next door for cutting the hedge and moving the lawn .
I was only helping out but a nice thought all the same
Not sharing , will have it later when everyone's gone to bed

There's a lot of work involved in moving a lawn.
