Went to collect the shopping from Asda and it was there in the self service lockers again.... In and out in 5 mins...
Is that the building as you drive in on the left on the carpark? How do the lockers work? Are you given a code to punch in ? (Askimg just incase I ever manage to nab a slot in the future)

Remember only people who are shielding or self isolating should be using delivery and click and collect, those of us allowed to go out should save the slots for those that can't get out.

I totally agree with this @Lucy
I hate going out shopping, we went nearly a month without venturing out, making do with our supplies.
But my husband and I made a decision that we wouldn’t take up a slot for a delivery or for click and collect when other people are desperate for those slots.

Got an e mail from the CEO of Tesco saying what they are doing etc, they are pleading for people who CAN shop to go in to the store and please don’t order on line if you can go in store. Vulnerable people need those slots.

I’m wrapping myself up like a mummy, and going at quiet times.
Like the majority, working it out as best we can.

Yes... It's your order number you enter in the screen... Then it tells you which bins to open in order

Skills to Simon at Central Gas Solutions, discovered Persimmon bodged the gas incoming pipe (12 years ago) for the hob and it was rubbing on the oven. Emailed him last night and following a conversation he came over and cut new piping to ensure there was no contact. Very happy with the work and he's a nice chap.

Oh, the joys of a Persimmon house...

One I spent some time rectifying had the electric oven connected to the socket ring main and the igniter for the gas hob sitting all alone on its own supply from what should have been the oven MCB. And the 'overflow' from the header tank in the loft was just a couple of feet of pipe stuck out through the eaves, so it could be seen from below, but it was not connected in any way to the tank - great fun if it overflowed down through three floors. The water supply couplings were not tightened up. The sewer had a 'rather makeshift joint', allowing it to breathe into the kitchen. The list is endless...

A Persimmon sign alongside a highway should be in a red triangle.

I went to the Owl Sanctuary at Haughton Ice Cream Farm today. I'm embarrassed to say I've never been there before.

Its brilliant and the person running it has an obvious affection for the owls and meerkats, as well as all those that visit. My 2 children loved it - as I did.

I hope more people support the Owl Sanctuary because they do a lot of fantastic work. For those of you that don't know they've got an owl hospital and they try and release some birds back in the wild, wherever possible.

Top day. Plus I had lovely ice cream too and kept my distance, as did everyone else.

Its part of Red Lion farm Jolt Lane just outside Haughton.

Turn left towards Church Eaton just after Haughton church and then Jolt Lane is about 1/2 mile along the lane just where the road takes a 90 degree sharp right.

And if you carry on you'll eventually get to my house. I don't have any ice cream.

@Thehooperman

nice one , thanks :)

@Lucy

Thats no problem , got any biscuits , and a mug of coffee to wash them down ? :P
