Stafford shops closing - Turning into a ghost town?

The Butter Knife had been cleared out and now stands empty.
The problem with this place, is I'm guessing was never originally designed as a café, so you come out smelling of the kitchen, went once and I didn't like that fact. Whoever takes it on needs to invest in Aircon or kitchen extractors.

Enjoying a drop of red.

Running a different type of business from there would probably be a better idea.

A champagne bar !!!

Whatever happened to the old Stafford of Mrs T's, Groucott's chip shop, Jenkinsons Cafe, The Blood Tub pub and the bogs in the Market Square where if you knew the right people, you could buy weapons grade Plutonium ?

:P
You need to be proactive and think of the future not look back at past events

I think this is fake news. A number of news outlets are reporting this list today, but it is exactly the same list as reported over a year ago: https://www.cornwalllive.com/news/cornwall-news/cornwall-devon-wetherspoons-among-16-2728455

Since then pubs, such as the Rhinoceros in Rotherham have been sold; it would be a bit difficult for Wetherspoons to sell it again.

That said, it would not surprise me if they changed their minds about the Butlers Bell. It was reprieved on the basis of the proposed hotel over the road from it which, even if it still gets opened, may not provide the roaring trade Wetherspoons hoped for.

Is the Picture House even nearing completion?, Looks like all work stalled mid February. I mean, it looks like they may need to change that sign again, hopefully, it doesn't become another indibar opening 2011...

Picture House & Butlers Bell websites have the same information as all the other of their pubs, implying they are opening on Saturday.
