Had a drive down to Worcester to spend a day with son on his day off. First journey down there since before lockdown. Had a fantastic journey down the motorway and back , almost like driving years ago with less traffic and actually flowing fast all the way.

Spent the day doing his garden with him.Wandered through the country lanes to the local chippie in the sunshine .

Drove back home with a jungle filling the car. 2 hours back home chopping it all up into my brown bin. Might have a few Worcester spiders joining mine in the garage (forming a social bubble ) if any have escaped the hoover.

Luckily took one of my face masks I'd just had delivered to show son. Put it on to show him.... same sort as he has at work, so he was able to tell me I'd got it on upside down . Apparently the sewn in metal strip (which I never even noticed) goes on top and is pressed and shaped around the nose for a tight fit. Just checked and no mention of that on the box, but makes sense..

Had a leak in the pond, and the water has gone very cloudy, so decided to do a strip down. After several fun events today I now have no working pump, a bottom drain slowly emptying onto my garden and the water is now so bad I can't even see the fish in the smaller pond (maybe 50cm deep). I now have to hope plumbits have what I need in the morning :(

So glad the traffic lights turned to green, and the one car in front moved off quickly at 6am this morning , as 3 people off their heads on something were messing around in the road and heading in my direction . :o

I walked upper Tamar Lake this morning for the first time this week. This is mainly because the weather of late has been an 'utter bag of shite.' (This is a highly technical meteorological term that some might not understand.) :teef:
It spitted a bit here and there, and then was sunny a bit ... here and there. Good walking weather I can't deny. :)

Realised I hadn't got my debit card just as I was about to load my shopping onto the conveyor belt...

First haircut since March this morning. No longer looking like Chewbacca.

Haven't had a haircut since June 2017 when I had a lump cut off my head which necessitated being shaved bare on one side. (I was unbalanced for weeks.) Apparently my brain had expanded and exceeded the capacity of my skull ... (that's my effing excuse and I'm sticking to it.)

So I'm back in the 70's .. (apart from people coming up to me in the street and asking me to perform a miracle by curing their leprosy .. .. yeah right, I fully remember what happened to the last guy who pulled that shit. )

MODs beware ... :heyhey:

I cleaned the flue out this morning. This involved climbing up onto the Chalet roof.

This reminded me, as it always does, of the wing of a Junkers Ju 52.
