Camping trip?Forum 2021 camping trip anyone?
Me and @flossietoo already accidentally holidayed in the exact same place last year!
It was more like a piss-up in several distilleries.

A Coleman event shelter with optional sidewalls could possibly fit the bill.Having said that we won’t rush into buying one, we’ll just see how we get on.
I have the former. Its a godsend. There are automated awnings available, in the style of the things above shop windows, both hand-wound and electrified versions.

Could you knit some sides for it?The motor home comes with an awning so we do have shelter and shade. It just pulls out and the legs fold down, but because it’s basically just a roof with no sides, it’s not very warm should the weather be chilly.
I was referring more to the ones that are basically a tent which attach to the side of the motor home.
Get on to the manufacturer or a decent dealer, they should be able to sort you out with sides and even a front if needs be to extend your living space. The motor home comes with an awning so we do have shelter and shade. If there's a lot of windbreaking going on, I would be leaving the sides open.A windbreak may also work, but will be a bit of a faff.
Carole, search for your awning model and add safari room. That might bring up some results for you.

We were that couple when we had a tent but soon realised the error of our way and got an airbeam tent... Up in 10 minutes !!Pull up on the motorhome, plug in, gas on, chairs out and drink in my hand. Sit and watch a caravanner spend the next hour setting up. Better if they have divorce in a bag (an awning)
I take it you'd recommend one of those then?We were that couple when we had a tent but soon realised the error of our way and got an airbeam tent... Up in 10 minutes !!

Most certainly, it saved our marriage ! They aren't cheap but bloody easy to put up, but still rigid and strong in wind.I take it you'd recommend one of those then?
Thanks, I want one that I can take Shell Island. The winds there are awful at times, but I know a lot that go there swear by the air tents.
It's nice get an opinion of someone close to home. It won't be a mahoosive one, there's just me, and tons of camping equipment.
