Then I'm off to Lynton for a couple of days. It's about time I looked at the Valley of the Rocks. :hmm:

We went to the valley of the rocks a few years ago when we walked along the coastal path from Lynton to Woody Bay and back.

It was lovely and quiet and quite remote with sheer drops to the sea on the coastal path side then on the way back we climbed onto the rocks to look into the valley itself and it was just fall of coaches, tourists, a tea room with a cricket match in progress. Sort of spoilt the illusion of isolation somewhat.

There's also a beautiful little church at Culbone but I think that was east of Lynton and probably won't be open at the moment.

After the front door locking system costing us £270 a few weeks ago , and several other neighbours also having theirs go in the past few weeks and climbing in and out of windows.....Had yet another one fail to unlock this morning and couldn't get out of the back door! This time only 9 months old so still under guarantee. Seem rather crap mechanisms lately!

Enjoying a drop of red.
400 mile day today. Drove down this morning to check what post had come through at the house and to pickup a few bits and bobs, then drove down to Henry's Car Barn in Warwickshire to have a gander at a few things. Then a quick pitstop at Warwick Services for a charge and a coffee, followed by driving to work. Then a run out to Bishops Castle and finally a blast back to Formby.

Think I need a holiday...
