Due to the overwhelming amount of people visiting the Crown and Anchor on Saturday, we have decided to close this weekend to be able to review our risk assessment in order to deal with the difficulty that we faced with social distancing. By saying that we are grateful and appreciative of all our customers and want to make it a safe environment for you when we reopen next weekend. We will be posting our updated guidelines.

Reading some of the posts, crowded at weekends with no attempts to control numbers. At least two, young adult, customers have subsequently tested positive.

Sounds like the place is a real shit hole.

Apparently no details taken so track and trace not possible, they're relying on people's common sense....

It will be one big bubble in Stone won't it?

I've noticed there's a few places asking for customer's details as they walk in but it isn't mandatory.

Others have a book on entry but use the same pen between all customers entering without treating it before it is passed on.

Sounds like you've been on a bit of a pub crawl @Thehooperman! :scouse:

I haven't been to that many since we've been released to be honest, probably a maximum of four but I have noticed what the policy's are as I've passed a few.

I've tended to stick to shops and establishments that show at least some semblance of social responsibility.

Also a few friends have visited other pubs purely in the interest of expanding my research, you understand? :)

Watching a BBC News article this morning, with questions and answers on quarantine rules returning from Spain. All didn't make sense to me...
Got to give the address where you will be quarantining on return to the UK and 1 in 5 will be checked. But not by a visit , but by a text or phone call to make sure you are where you should be. People could say they are anywhere in these days of mobile phones. If they aren't responsible enough to quarantine, they aren't going to have any qualms about lying down the phone.

Quarantine is going to be stricter than our previous lockdown restrictions, not being able to leave the house at all , even for exercise or dog walking .....but can go out to the shops if needed..

Someone asked ...their parents who live in Spain are coming to stay for a fortnight and know the parents will be in quarantine whilst there living in their house. Asked if they themselves would have to quarantine as well with the quarantined parents staying with them ....no, they can go out and about their business as normal.

One person said they would be returning from spain and in quarantine , but due to fly out to Portugal 7 days after they return home, can they still go? Answer was yes (but just focused on the fact that they would have to quarantine whilst returning from Portugal and FCO advice was against travel to Portugal) so ok to jump on a plane during the quarantine period ???

Can any of you clarify the current regulations about socialising please?

A family, relatively new to our village, has sent out a village e mail to everyone on the list, apologising in advance for the possible noise this Saturday night due to an event they are holding.
An outdoor music festival in their garden, heightened noise levels due to the amount of friends and family attending.

The majority of us in this village have stopped our usual social get togethers, one couple might meet up with another couple but certainly no parties or large gatherings.

Because as far as I’m aware it’s still only 6 people but if it’s more than that then they have to be from two families.
Or did the rules change when I wasn’t looking?

Just asking out of curiosity.

1.3 What should I still avoid doing?
It remains the case that you should not:
  • socialise indoors in groups of more than two households (anyone in your support bubble counts as one household) – this includes when dining out or going to the pub
  • socialise outdoors in a group of more than six people from different households; gatherings larger than six should only take place if everyone is from exclusively from two households or support bubbles
