Just found out the call center at Acton Gate will be closing down sometime in the new year. Not a total suprise as it was going to close in 2026 anyway. The Wife has been there 18 years & i'd imagine quite a few fellow Staffordians have worked there over the years.

Think everyone I knew in my 20s did a stint there, or more often the warehouse.

Its not just the call centre staff apparently.

I know staff who work on other departments who, over the last two days, have been warned of redundancies.

It was due to close in 2026?? That's a seriously long term plan for an operation within a retail organisation!!!
