I'm taking minime to her opticians appt later today. They rang yesterday to make sure we haven't got the Rona.

Instructions are to arrive 10 mind early, and you don't need to wear a face mask.

WTAF?

Why on earth would you not wear a face mask? Given how close they get to you to do the eye test?

I was offended enough last Feb when I had my eye test, as the optition had a heavy cold and continually sniffed & snorted in my face while peering at the back of my eyes.
:lorks::o I'd have thought both optician and customer would have needed one.
Always hated the fact they got so close to my face without a mask even before Covid.
Dreading going when my next test is due now !

I thought the same too.
I really wish I didn't have to go, but, apparently the child needs to see where she's going....

I'm currently here now, it's nowhere near as bad as I thought, all staff are wearing face masks or visors or both, and the majority of customers are too.

The only problem was an old bloke who decided to stand right behind (I mean RIGHT behind me) me as we waited at the door to go in for the appointment. And there's a lot of people in here too.

This might help.

Give the "old bloke" the benefit of the doubt. He might not have seen you.

While waiting (outside) to go into the opticians, I noticed the queue to get into the Butlers Bell. About 10 people queueing outside at 3pm, socially distanced, but still - people waiting outside to go in the pub for a drink?? Now?

Didn't feel at all safe in the Wildwood Co-op tonight. Dirty tissues left in a trolley, sanitised my own trolley with disinfectant on the stand inside, but no hand sanitiser in both bottles when I went to do my hands ( and had left mine in the car after going to Aldi).
A young lad in front of me also several times trying to avoid a woman with a family, the woman kept suddenly doubling back and not moving over to let us both past at a safe distance. Was glad to get out of there!

But I'm neither familiar with all the techniques involved with computers nor able to learn them.

If you want to quote something that someone has said you click on “reply” which is at the bottom of their post.

If you want to alert someone to something you’ve written you put @ in front of their name

Thanks.
I think I knew the first bit but not the second.
The last time I used "@" was probably with a cartridge pen, or maybe biro, in the context of "10 @ 7d = 5s 10d".

Doesn't your email address have an @ in it then?
