Enjoying a drop of red.
Yes I’ve got tickets but they haven’t contacted me about it, but we wouldn’t sit in a packed theatre either.

They contacted me about Giovanni Pernice, rescheduled until next May, but there’s loads of events that I had in the diary over the last few months but I’ve heard nothing from the Gatehouse at all.
Last I heard, which must be at least 3 weeks ago, staff were still furloughed.

Yes they are furloughed but some staff came in last month for two weeks to issue refunds/attend to things.
They are also back in this week, again for 2 weeks.

I had shows booked in for as far back as March.
I'd just assumed that they'd attend to things in date order, but obviously not.

Email received today reads....

"Hello

Thank you for your email.

We have had to reschedule this show again, and will be sending out an email with your options soon, you will be able to obtain a refund then.

Thank you

Stafford Gatehouse Theatre"

I origanally received a phone call, saying I hadn't replied to the first re-schedule email (I didn't receive it) and could I agree to the new date on 20th Sept, I was put on the spot and agreed. But the more I thought about it, the less happy & safe I felt about going.

I emailed 2 seperate email address to ask about canceling, but heard nothing till this today.

We did a lot of exploring on some really great driving roads today. However I'm starting to think we should have brought car whose air conditioning was a little bit more effective than an asthmatic blowing through a straw.

I contacted them in June, just after the phone call, and again at the beginning of July, makes sense then if they have only been released from furlough a couple of times, that I've heard nothing till now.

Just had an email from the Gatehouse, our rescheduled Henning Wehn tickets (20th September) are being cancelled again, its not clear if its another re-schedule, or a cancel, they've said another email will follow with more details, and an opportunity to ask for a refund.

...

Henning Wehn’s website says it’s been postponed until 21st January. It then gives you a link to buy tickets, the link however is the Gatehouse which is still showing 20th Sept.

I had emailed asking how I go about having a refund a few weeks ago, as I still don't feel safe or happy about attending at the moment.

*edit I think @Carole & someone else, also had tickets... If anyone remembers who...
It could have been @YorkshirePud ?

I’ve e mailed The Gatehouse.
I got out all my tickets, double checked the bank statements.

I’m owed £196 for shows in April, May and June.

I was willing to be patient but if they’re contacting people for refunds for shows in September but missing out people who’d booked for shows 4 months ago then there’s something wrong with the system.

Our original tickers were for April. We weren't offered a refund when they phoned, but I suppose they're in a no win situation at the moment.

Although on the brighter side, I have seen comments on Facebook stating people have had refunds. I guess you just have to catch them at the right time.

The Henning Wehn tickets are different to my other tickets.
We were contacted in March about the Henning Wehn tickets to advise of change of date to September.

This is in addition to tickets for other theatres, flight refunds, cruise refunds etc.
Lots of our money in other people’s bank accounts.

We had tickets for a kids dance show scheduled for April(?) that our grand daughter was in. We knew it was being cancelled but didn't do anything about refunds at the time. (I read somewhere the Gatehouse were asking people to wait while they sorted rescheduling/cancelling all shows). We receive an email & full refund sometime around the end of May.
It's a bit naughty of them if they're refunding Sept bookings now when they haven't refunded earlier ones.

I can only presume they mean I will get an email at some point explaining how to get a refund, the tickets were bought in March for the April show, but it was cancelled and moved to September. I've been trying since June to contact someone to just cancel the tickets and have a refund.

I can't see why they couldn't just have explained more in the email they sent, or explained the steps to get a refund.

Seems they are holding onto everyone's money a bit too tightly.

Decided life's a bitch!

Just found out a mate and her hubby have just been allowed out of shielding after all this time to find out she now has cancer.

He can't even visit her in hospital because of social distancing rules !
Also decided...
If Boris brings it in that ' my age group & conditions' should shield in order for the rest of the population can go about their business as normal, decided after sticking strictly to the rules last time .....f**k it!

Not staying holed up for the rest of my life, for the ones who have already ruined it by flouting the rules to carry on with no regards for anyone else.

I've just checked the bus times for getting from town towards Parkside tomorrow on Traveline and the last 101 is 21.10.

This will be too early to watch the end of the United match so Traveline offered me this alternative:
Catch the 23.06 train to Wolverhampton, wait 2.5 hours in Wolverhampton bus station to catch the 02.30 express bus to Digbeth and then the 03.20 express bus to Hanley, wait there for nearly 2 hours and then catch the 101 back to Crab lane arriving at 06.58.

Or if I wait in town until 06.49 I get to Crab lane at 07.01.

Think I'll risk it in a cab or walk :)
