Queer old day weather wise. Set off toward Duckpool (about three miles North of Bude) in bright sunshine with the intention of walking up toward Steeple Point on the North side. This, as you can see, really is a Laurel and Hardy path. I figure the slope is in excess of 60 degrees, definitely a case of eyes down and choose your footfall carefully. The bottom of that slope is 100 foot down with a landing pad made of sharp sea lapped shale rock !!
When I got to the top I was greeted with a strong breeze and a whole battalion of incoming showers. Carried on up the coast path but the showers caught me, and I had to cut inland to get back to the car suffering a total dampment. :embarrass:

This weekend we went to Mid Wales with Kevin the Motor Home and stayed in the most glorious peaceful, immaculate campsite.
Set in a valley, just 55 pitches, surrounded by rolling hills and beautiful countryside.
Directly from the campsite, through a gate into lovely walks. Woodland walks, riverside walks, walks into town, walks through the meadow.
So far, I’m enjoying the van life!
All pictures just a minute from our pitch.

Been in Wales for a week, despite some interesting weather I think I got some good pics although the summit of Cadair never cleared. Once I've sorted them out (I took about 1500!) I'll post a few good ones here.

This weekend, channelling Bob Marley, I be jamming.

3 varieties...... Strawberry, Damson, and apple and blackberry.

I bought the strawberries but the other fruit, damsons, apples and blackberries were all picked in Bednall.

I haven't looked if our damsons are ready, and now I won't have time to pick them. Damn(son)

The first parting of Sterling cash since mid-March produced a couple of nice items.

The forged stainless steel hand-fork will be treated to a new handle at some point, but the one on the pentagonal tapered reamer is redeemable, It think.
So, a quick perusal of the Odd Tools box in Katharine House today turned up an unused file handle.

It'll get a bit more of a 'finish' at some point.

It was a bit awkward getting the existing handle off, as it had been Araldited on...

I've got a gardening tool something like that, inherited from parents/ grandparents. Used for 40 years and kept going, so never had to buy ourselves a new one of our own,..
