Oh so exciting, New Quay in Wales..... I love it, that's all that counts.... I've succumbed to the fact that we WONT be abroad on my 50th this year, so New Quay for a whole 3 nights it is.... Might fit another 4 nights in (in the UK) later in the year... Tenby is looking good....
Ooooh nice. I've never been to New Quay in Wales , or Tenby for that matter. Only ever been to North Wales. With hubby having so many hols cancelled and carried over this year we have got lots of new places in UK to hopefully explore this year and next ,as won't be risking booking abroad again for ages yet.

Just been reading the Covid rules in Poole for walking in the street and town centre....must remember the 'Stick to the left' rule . Will be interesting to see how many are sticking to it...

Bittersweet news today. The relief of my F.I.L going into remission is tempered by the sad news of Chadwick Boseman (King T'challa, Black Panther) passing away from colon cancer. My heart goes out to his family.

In our holiday cottage , and as well as supplying us with a fridge full of plonk and goodies. Been invited to help ourselves to as many of these as we want out of our garden... :)

Don't try the cannabis plant in the bottom right of the piccie :)

Whereabouts are you staying?
Poole , just yards from the seafront :)

Rather a cold breeze and a bit of drizzle so far. The best weather was when we were driving down .

At least hubbys crap navigational skills got me unintentionally finding a nearly traffic free back way into Poole, and according to the owner avoiding massive queues of traffic on the main road in. (Luckily TomTom kicked in, or might have still been driving  )

Apart from the owner who did a socially distanced meet outside the cottage to open up and give us our sealed and sanitised keys , there's absolutely no social distancing going on around the seafront at all :o

Get the car ferry over to Studland beach and there's loads of space as well as a few nudists if you go to a particular section of the beach.

I'm sure hubby will love a bit of "fresh air" around "those parts" after so long in lockdown.
:o Hubby would soon clear the beach

Drinking our complimentary pints of Thatcher's Gold and Sea Fury after my asked for desert ( asked for twice) failed to come an hour later. About to depart and asked for it to be removed from the bill.
Manager jumped in, asked what the problem was..... Complimentary drinks....and then brought the forgotten desert over as might as well have it now with his compliments.
Was going to cancel tomorrow's table, but complaint dealt with so superbly that now returning with a table of our choice...
And of course just ordered another round , hubby enjoying some good real ale :pint:

If you've been smoking that I'd be interested to know the effects. I suppose it might work as a substitute in the Alice B Toklas Cookbook recipe for chocolate brownies or in a chocolate mousse.
Who knew Rosemary was so lethal.....

Have you been listening to these?

No, I had missed them, thanks for the link. I was going to say that the cookbook was now a difficult to obtain & expensive item, £37+ on Amazon the cheapest. However a quick check has just shown one bookseller on Abe Books has it for £8.30, and Murder in the Kitchen is even cheaper.

Hah, a remarkable coincidence - and she came up in conversation only about two weeks ago, in relation to the, now slightly obscure, Peter Sellers film that references her in the title.
