New Covid-19 outbreaks in Stafford - Dominos Pizza and Screwfix

Am seeing reports on Facebook of several new outbreaks of Covid-19 in Stafford. Three Screwfix staff have contracted it and several Dominos Pizza (town centre) employees have also tested positive.

Any other places to avoid, that people know of?

Heard today that a class at Leasowes is having to isolate ... not confirmed.
I overheard some kids talking last night. One was asked by an adult "how's your dad ?" Answer " We are all supposed to isolate , but we aren't . We are all still going out, just not going to school" :o

I heard similar by three girls sitting just behind me on the bus yesterday. It went like this

"Have you been in Anya's hot tub during lockdown?"

"Yes every day with 6 or 7 others"

"Wasn't she and her family isolating?"

"Yes but they were wearing masks in the hot tub so we were ok"

I moved seats rather quickly.

Not go two brain cells to rub together. Far too many like that about, sadly.

Forget bog roll, I'm hoarding frozen pizzas - no way I'll be going anywhere near Dominos Stafford for the foreseeable future, that's for sure! Call me old fashioned, but I prefer my Pizza without a helping of Covid spittle !

Apparently a positive case at a fruit farm outside Haughton.

That's Dearnsdale farm on the Haughton side of Billy bank.

Luckily the fruit pickers there rarely come into town but when they do for shopping they all pack onto the same bus so I would expect a few more positive tests shortly.

Had to travel by train to Manchester today which included a change in Stoke. I noticed that at Stafford station almost all had face masks while in Stoke a large number of young adults especially when in groups didn't wear them, it's no surprise that Stoke has Covid issues.

I'm happy to be associated with Rangers, currently. We have a Covid officer who ticks the boxes and stewards not afraid to speak out. Track and trace details from all away fans and form filling if you go in the club.
As opposed to going to an away game on Tuesday - met by 3 pensioners on the gate, not a single mask and all probably 60-70 years old! I avoided their social club as distancing seemed to be non existent! Society seems so varied on compliance, common sense and giving a sh£t. And that's from somebody sick of being controlled!
