I ask, partly, because i'm trying to substantiate a comment elsewhere that attributes the majority of transmission in Victoria (Aus) to pubs 'n' 'working man's clubs', and suggests that schools aren't as big a vector.

To which anybody with at least a modicum of interest in the affairs of humanity would think - 'working man's clubs'? you mean like in the 70's or something? And you'd be quite right, that's exactly what they are. 'Kin 'ell.

There does seem to be an awfully large amount of bollocks flying around, but remember kids - even though Superman can fly, you can't.

Not unless you take a lot of drugs.

Story, I think in New Scientist a few weeks ago, was that the initial problem was in Victoria because of they way they quarantined people entering the country. All Australian states used hotels or barracks to quarantine people but whereas all other states used military or police to supervise them Victoria used private security firms. The system was lax, people in quarantine intermingled, left the premises and even some of the security guards were infected. This led to an outbreak in Victoria. A lorry driver from Victoria making deliveries from there to Sydney was actually infected and visited a number of pubs & clubs while he was in Sydney. He was probably a super-infector and passed the virus on to a lot of other people. This then escalated rapidly. They story may have changed since then.

Realised i was sweating for no apparent reason early evening - took temperature... 80.2°C - fluctuating between high 70's and low 80's for the next two hours - test booked for tomorrow morning.

Yikes.

Enjoying a drop of red.
Gareth Morgan looks like our scruffiest Chief Constable ever.
I can't imagine what Charles Kelly would have thought.
He is a right scruffy sod yes. If you can't even be bothered to make the effort when your boss comes to visit...
