And you are all valued.
We know, thank you.

It's strange at home. I didn't stop working. The carer was furloughed.

For me the year has flown by, for the carer it's dragged. I can't believe it's nearly Christmas now, it's gone in the blink of an eye...

How about you furloughers? Did it drag for you? Is it still dragging now?

I've been at home but working full time. It dragged to begin with but once I got into a rhythm it flew by.

I can't say I've hated this year either, it's brought some normality and stability into our home life, not rushing here there and everywhere.

If i'm honest, I hardly noticed much. Work was the same, apart from no relatives for ages. Bliss.
The masks are a pain in the arse to wear, but a necessary evil.
Roads were so calm, due to no school runs or proper rush hour.
Jesus was furloughed, which for me was nice. I enjoy his company even tho he's a pain in the bum at times. He was bored out of his skull, though not enough to find how the hoover worked or where the washing up liquid was kept.

It's strange at home. I didn't stop working.

I don't know how you all manage to stay so polite given the rudeness of customers.
And that it's your fault that there's nothing on the shelves.

This for me too. Feel lucky to be allowed to wfh and stay safe once I got used to the isolation. I work in a place where no one even says good morning so it was tough to start with but I'm used to it now. I am somewhat worried how I will be once the dark nights and cold weather set in and I hear from no one for days and visiting friends is a risk :(

I did not today.

Today I was the door police. An elderly customer had a mask in their hand, but made no move to put it on. I asked them to put it on, and received a 'I'll do it on the store'. Again I asked them to step aside (to let other customers in) and put the mask on. They did.

They got as far as the foyer, took the mask off, blew their nose on a tissue, and dropped the used tissue into a clean basket.....

I wasn't letting this go, so I stopped them again, informed them that they had 'dropped' their tissue, held the basket up so that they could retrieve it, & informed them where the nearest bin was.

'Not my tissue' is what they said, 'yes it's is, I saw you blow your nose and drop it', 'no I didnt', 'yes you did'.. .. 'well I don't need it now' was the answer I got as they walked off.

I can't repeat the (muffled by a mask) words that I might have uttered, but guess who picked up the soaking snot ridden tissue and put it in the bin, as I wasn't going to leave it for someone else.

I just don't understand people's utter contempt for other people. F*****g d***y f***s

So, lots of you furloughed people are all alone, it must be very strange and sad. I had never seen it like that, we are here though if you need us! .... Its good to have other peoples views. Everyone's experience is so different.

People like that need to be put down.

People like that need to be put down.
But, it's not that easy.

I was brought up to respect my elders, they are always right, and you should respect them.

I was so horrified, that I challenged them about the mask (head says I shouldt have), then about the tissue, (head again says I'm wrong), then I muttered an awful lot of swear words about how disgusted I was about their behaviour (also wrong, in my head).

People are WORSE than animals. And my conscience rules.
