My place of work is fully air conditioned, doors can not be left open because of security issues, there are no windows.

Even before Corona, we (the staff) are regularly ill with sore throats, voice loss etc which we 'think' is down to the air conditioning. (One colleague lost her voice for 6 months last year).

... I'll leave the rest to everyone's imagination....

My place of work isn't air conditioned, we have fans that heat the place or try to cool it down along with normal heating.
There is no way on this earth the doors can be left unlocked, never mind open and we aren't having visitors at the moment. I can't say if we have or don't have any cases at the moment, that would be a breach of confidentiality and it wouldn't be that hard to work out who I am through what I've said about the hospital on here before.
The windows open a maximum of 3 maybe 4 inches, to stop anyone absconding.
We, the staff all wear masks, they are horrible but necessary things and sometimes scary for the patients.
One member of staff has had the Coronavirus, about 3 months ago, they still struggle to breathe at times now.

Thanks for updating me on the daily deaths.
Surely 150 a day only goes to prove what a mistake reopening schools was.
No. Pubs and restaurants too, can you really really not see that? Just how far do you have your head buried in the sand.....?

Not just in the sand, it's up his own arse as well.

Enjoying a drop of red.
Rather than having my "head buried in the sand" I have taken note of weekly figures from Public Health England.
Well you didn't have a clue about the numbers of people dying, so you'll forgive some people if they doubt what you say, especially when you never back things up with a direct link to the evidence you claim to have.

"Up his own arse as well" isn't the language I would expect on here - and it does nothing to further the discussion about a very important topic.

"NOT the Government's fault ... It's the Public's fault .." makes that look like a pronouncement from Boris, maybe written by Dominic.
It's partly the Government's fault. And it's partly the Public's fault, or rather the fault of those members of the public who have been acting selfishly and irresponsibly.

I don't follow the statistics daily or even weekly and you can make from that what you wish.
If I "never back things up with a direct link to the evidence you claim to have" that's because I've not been asked for it.

The Times is reporting that a new lockdown will start on Wednesday and last until December.
And if we'd have done it for half term it would only have needed to last 2 weeks.

The saving Christmas thing really pisses me off. How many who 'celebrate' Christmas are actually doing that, we aren't a religious country. Eid was basically cancelled with an hour to go and that is a far more religious festival.

Bit of a coughing fit, just awaiting my results, 89.6% of us get them the next day apparently. I'm definitely fighting something off if my heartrate is anything to go by.
