Stafford shops opening - Turning into a boom town?

Do you consider pubs to be 'leisure facilities'?

My post was poorly worded. Pubs are fantastic leisure facilities. I love them. However, my kids not so much.

The town lacks a decent indoor play area or many other fun things for kids, consequently my family spend a lot of time visiting Stone, Tamworth or Telford plus others.

They are trying to create a town centre. The Southwater complex is their centre. Not my kind of town centre in terms of character (etc) but it has a fantastic town park, a good selection of food establishments and decent shops, as well ice rink and national conference centre.

Is this the old Telford shopping centre or is it a new development?

Evasive work still going on in the old River Island, stripping it right back, drilling it out and removing the metal from within .

And works well underway gutting millets too.

Be interesting to see if anything interesting fills their places, although both being taken are better than derelict buildings.

The town centre should be replaced by a deciduous forest

What do we want?

Incremental improvements that deliver a better environment.

When do we want it?

Within a reasonable timeframe for such delivery, but preferably at, or near to, the earliest expectations.
