What's for dinner/tea?

Enjoying a drop of red.
Burgers and a vegan main from the Severn Stars this evening really hit the spot. Three Belgian Chocolate Torts to follow, also from the SS.

Considering opening a second bottle of CDP...

Neway Chinese tonight plus did roast duck with pancakes and chicken satays (both from Farmfoods). The latter two are for the seven year old who munches his way through them all if he was allowed. The adults also had beef curry, yeung chow fried rice, sweet & sour prawn, roast pork foo yung and hot & sour soup.

I'm not sure what's for tea... The carer 'invented' something while I was at work... It seems to consist of pork fillets, sausagemeat stuffing with added chestnuts and port and cranberry sauce, wrapped in a smoked bacon parcel, then wrapped in foil.

With veg.

Help.

Sounds really nice that.

You both got your sense of taste back?

Yes, strangely we couldn't taste the raw chilli at all, but the curry ended up really hot & spicy.... Too hot for the carer, he's a lightweight.

I'm going to be washing tea (when it's ready) down with Snowballs.... getting into the Christmas spirit.

Finished off my amazing birthday weekend with a lovely walk in the forest of Bowland!

Sad to see so many pubs shut as theres nothing better than a hot meal and a pint at the end of a walk!

However the local pub near our new site is doing takeaway meals!

Burger for the husband and veggie lasagna for me!

Delicious! Proper chunky chips!

However I do stand by the fact that broccoli does NOT belong in a lasagna...
