Beef stew & dumplings for tea tonight.

Dinner was a sorry effort of Kettle chips & an Eccles cake.

I had the other bit of the poulet au ciseau that I had a few days ago - again as a casserole with carrots and potatoes - ideal for a chilly day.

The temperature outside has meant that the oven in the range was hovering either side of 100°C all day, so it has been cooked for free!

Enjoying a drop of red.
I shall be making veggnog in about an hour. I find it's vitally important to follow the recipe very closely, until the part where you add the alcohol, where quantities should be trebled, at the very least.

This will be accompanied by pork and egg pies, pork and blackpudding pies, vegan pork pies :barf: and Mac and cheese.

Eton Mess for pud.
