Due to the stupid shifts I have had to work the last 3 days, we had our Christmas dinner today, Lovingly coked by myself, Chicken, beef, gammon, pigs in blankets, yorkie puds, sage and onion stuffing, cabbage, carrots, parsnips and sprouts, tho nephew, eldest and myself passed on the last two.
My sister didn't inderstand why we had both apple sauce and mint sauce with the meal, but you can't have cabbage any other way!
A lovely day was had by all, next year I'm going do a curry, anyone who wants a roast can do it themsens,

Enjoying a drop of red.
After spending the afternoon changing front and rear brake pads and discs and freezing to death in the process, I rewarded myself with a small scotch before remembering that I was supposed to be getting tonight's tea from Weeping X chippy

I won't drive with any possibility of alcohol in my system so will shortly be embarking on a slippery trudge down to the Wimpy.

In readiness for the trudge, I will prepare with a glass of wine.

Turkey Turkey Turkey

Bought a largish one from Hindles butchers even though it was just two of us on Christmas Day.
So apart from Roast Turkey with all the trimmings we’ve had loads of salads which we both love.
I rolled out some puff pastry and filled it with Turkey, potatoes, carrots, broccoli and sprouts. Like a Christmas lunch in a pie thingy which I sliced up and had gravy on it.
Then everything else got made into Turkey and vegetable soup which we’ve had and put loads in the freezer too.
Apart from the odd diversions with the cheese board or smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels, it’s been Turkey all the way.

All gone now.
