I especially like how Nikki is regularly supplied with alcohol for snippets of advice and tasting..... I may suggest I could be Nikki at home instead of the cook.

James May is a delight, although I'm not a fan of car programmes, I really enjoyed his Japan series, and the Lego & train one are excellent too.

One of the first things I want to do when the current excitement finally comes to an end is spend a long weekend at his pub.

There's a programme on BBC1 at 19.30 called Canal Boat Diaries and the description says something about a boat getting stuck in the mud in Woodeaves cutting.

I might watch to see if I recognise anywhere local.

I've watched the first series of the Beiderbecke Trilogy again over the last six days, but I've decided to break it up with other stuff for a while - I have a box set of (most of) David Attenborough's Life... series - a touch over 60 hours of it.

First episode of Life on Earth tonight - I don't think I've ever seen it in colour before.

I also have (most of) Michael Palin's journeys.

Just watched Upstart Crow: Lockdown Christmas 1603
David Mitchell playing William Shakespeare in plague lockdown, a very funny and well written 30 minutes.

He nearly choked when I asked if that was a statement or a complaint...

On the recommendation of several people we watched The Queen’s Gambit, brilliant stuff.
We binged watched the series over two nights. Really loved it.

Although it doesn’t half make you feel ancient when a series set in the 1960’s is described by Netflix as a “historical drama”.
